Highlights
Whether you are a complete beginner or simply looking to deepen your connection with the outdoors, join us for a relaxed morning stroll through the reserve. These walks are designed for small, intimate groups of around six people, allowing plenty of time to explore diverse habitats and discover amazing local wildlife.
You will be guided by Jeff Davies, who brings over 40 years of passion and expertise to every walk. Jeff has extensive experience in survey work for the BTO and RSPB and serves as a regular volunteer for the Rutland Water habitat team, the Osprey Project, and as an Ambassador for the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust.
Jeff’s wealth of knowledge ensures an informative and enjoyable experience. During the walk, he will help you identify:
Birds: Both year-round residents and seasonal visitors.
Insects: Butterflies and dragonflies (depending on the time of year).
Flora & Fauna: The diverse plant life and ecosystems that make the reserve unique.
